Parry: Defensive blade movement that blocks the opponent's offensive action.
Riposte: Offensive action executed after a parry.
Beat Attack: Hitting the opponent's blade.
Expulsion: A sharp, powerful, prolonged pressure on the blade executed by sliding toward the forte (thickest part) of the opponent's blade.
Counterattack: Offensive action exectued after the start of the opponent's offensive action.
Remise: Offensive action made after the initial offensive action is parried, when the riposte is delayed or absent.
Point-in-line/ Line: Extended weapon arm and point threatening the target.
